Kitchen Manager I - Ashbury Elementary School
5.5 hours per day / Monday - Friday / 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
General Description: Ensures the efficient operation of an elementary school or central kitchen in order to produce attractive and nutritious meals for students and staff
Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent and current certification by the American School Food Service Association preferred.
Experience: Two years work experience in an institutional or school kitchen with progressive responsibility and supervisory experience, Approved educational course work in food service supervision or related field may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis. General computer experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, employees, students, school staff and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively supervise employees. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to operate a computer, cashier terminal, PIN pad, and calculator. Working knowledge of the sanitation, safety and meal requirements of the Nebraska Department of Health and the United States Department of Agriculture School Lunch Program and Food Distribution Program. Ability to maintain detailed records as required by regulatory agencies
